Everyone who enters needs to wear a mask and keep it on whenever they are not dancing. As there is an exception to the county mask mandate to not wear one inside while exercising, we are NOT requiring students to wear one during class. However, if you would like your child to wear a mask at all times - please indicate when you register them.
Temperature Checks & Sanitize
All students will be required to have a temperature check as they enter the building. Any student with a temperature higher than 99.9 degrees will be asked to leave. Students who are dismissed for failing the temperature requirement may find a time to make-up class once they are feeling better. Students must sanitize their hands upon entering.
No Symptomatic Students
If a student passes the temperature check, but appears to have symptoms of COVID-19 (Fever or chills, Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Fatigue, Muscle or body aches, Headache, New loss of taste or smell, Sore throat, Congestion or runny nose, Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea) will be isolated from the rest of the children, and parents contacted to come and get them.
Limiting Number of Parents & Students
Parents are encouraged to drop off their children and stay in their cars to pick them up. Parents will be provided with a DDA Pick-Up sign they can place in their window, and we will have a staff member at the door between classes to ensure students safely get to their cars. Classes will also be limited to the number of students who can safely be in a room at a given time.
Virtual Class Options
For August and September, we will be offering virtual classes simultaneously with our in-person classes. We are still working out all of the specifics of this program.
Cleaning Between Classes
Between each class, any materials or equipment used will be sanitized according to CDC guidance. Classes might begin or end a few minutes early to allot time for this cleaning.
